Wherwell v Amesbury (home, 21/06/2014)
If you don’t like what you see here get the Trucks out! KJM sponsored Wherwell hosted Amesbury on what can only be described a scorchingly hot day. The wicket for the first time this season was dry, and after winning the toss the visiting skipper Dale Gower had no hesitation in bowling first. Wherwell started slowly trying to build a score. Beckingham (9) and Wickham (16) stayed put seen off the original scare in the first 5 overs.

Wherwell v AWE Tadley (home, 22/06/2013)
KJM sponsored Wherwell hosted AWE Tadley on a damp strip. Losing the toss Wherwell were asked to bat. Stuart Taylor was dropped in the third over and this proved costly as he went on to punish the visitors scoring 76, unfortunately only Elton Adamo offered real support with a well crafted 32 as the home side labored to 167 all out. In reply Craig Beckingham was given the opportunity to open the bowling and his tight lines forced a early run out.

Wherwell v Crown Taverners (home, 10/08/2013)
KJM sponsored Wherwell hosted Crown Taverners in a mid table clash. Wherwell won the toss and elected to bowl on a flat batting strip knowing using the new ball would be key and so it proved. Stuart Taylor 3-32 and Christian Nicel 2-20 opened the bowling and bowled tight lines creating chances by keeping the run rate down. Both picked up wickets in first few overs as the pace proved too much.

Wherwell v Dinton (home, 01/06/2013)
KJM sponsored Wherwells good start to the season came to a grinding halt against Dinton as the batsman went missing in the sun. Wherwell posted a well below par 110 all out from 33 overs. Knowing it would be very difficult to defend Wherwell had to attack from the off. A wicket in the 3rd over got Wherwells hopes up but that was to be it till Dinton had all but won the won game.

Wherwell v Farley 1st XI (home, 18/05/2013)
Kjm sponosred wherwell got there season off to a flyer by producing a great team display. Losing the toss Wherwell were ask to bat on a very green strip. Staurt “Trucker"Taylor (11) and new opening partner Ed John (10)set the tone as the dug deep and kept the new ball out for 10 overs. Ed John miss-timed a ball and that popped up to mid on. This brought a mini collapse as Taylor and Beckingham soon followed.

Wherwell v Sparsholt 2nd XI (home, played @ Hurstebourne, 25/08/2012)
1st XI sign off with Thunder and Lightening. Aptly for this summer Wherwell were forced to play a home game on a neighbours ground under leaden skies with rain forecast. Whilst many games were called off Wherwell debated how to get the mower going so that the pitch would be more suitable for cricket rather than a picnic, unfortunately whilst they pondered this the unthinkable happened, Captain Dave Langford won the toss!

Wherwell V Steep (home, 13/07/2013)
KJM sponsored Wherwell entertained unbeaten and top of the league Steep. Losing the toos Wherwell were put into field and it was always going to be a batsmen’s day. The innings was built on Knight 79 and Noble 89 who forming a huge partnership.They both excellently rotated the strike in the hot summers afternoon wearing down the Wherwell bowlers. When Noble ran out of steam and skied one to the keeper.

Wherwell v Winterslow (home, 19/7/2014)
With thunder-storms on the horizon KJM sponsored Wherwell did all they could to get a game on with players attending the ground before most had breakfast. Winterslow won the toss and decided to bowl on the previously covered pitch, this proved to be a crucial win of the toss as the ball nipped everywhere. Beckingham 29 and Taylor 41 the only batsman to show any true fight and dig in. Wherwells batsman have often been their own downfall and today was no different.

Whitchurch vs Wherwell (away, 11/08/2012)
KJM sponsored Wherwell travelled the short distance over to Whitchurch in a must win game to keep survival hopes alive. Both teams hampered with injuries and holidays did well to field to 11 players. Wherwell lost the toss and were asked to bat, Wherwell got lucky in the first over when Taylor was dropped from his first ball, something Whitchurch would go on to regret. Leamon fell early at the other end to a well taken catch.
